I am now 6 months post-op from my LASIK procedure, and I just wanted you to know that I couldn't be happier with the result. It is truly life-changing. With a baby (and a new puppy - I must have been temporarily insane) at home, struggling in the middle of the night and very early morning to find glasses or to put in contacts just got to be too much. I had considered LASIK for years, but this was my breaking point. I first went for a consult at one of the high-volume "discount" LASIK providers, and was uncomfortable from the minute I stepped foot through the door.

Obviously, I elected not to have my surgery there. My experience with Arrowsmith Eye Institute was completely different. I could not ask for a more thorough or caring staff, from having my original questions answered by Steve [Molnar] to the surgery and post-operative care itself. I could not have asked for an easier experience. My prescription was -5.00 in one eye and -5.25 in the other, and now I see 20/15 without correction. I often dream that the surgery has "worn off," and I can't tell you the relief I feel when I wake up and open my eyes to crystal clear vision.

Thank you so much for all you do. My only regret is not having this surgery sooner. I would (and do) recommend Arrowsmith Eye Institute to everyone I know.

As a professional who relies greatly on my vision, it was imperative that I went to "the best" for LASIK surgery. My extensive research included not only the doctor's qualifications, but the equipment used as well as the staff involved in performing the procedure. After my initial visit with Dr. Arrowsmith I felt very confident that I had made the right choice.

On any given day as a Boeing 777 Captian for United Airlines, I am responsible for as many as 348 passengers plus crew. My commitment as a Captain is to provide the highest degree of safety and professionalism. There is no room for error.

Dear Dr. Arrowsmith,

I wanted to write and thank you and your staff for the extraordinary care you gave me last Friday [September 11th 2009]. When I woke up on Saturday morning I could see clearly for the first time since around seventh grade. Courtney, Carrie and Todd were extremely thorough in all the eye exams and tests that were done that morning. They gave me great confidence that they were giving you the information you needed to enhance my vision as much as possible.

Steve was easy to deal with and almost made the pain for the procedure pleasurable. Dee was cheerful and a delight to work with.

Caitlyn put me at ease before the procedure. Like Courtney before her, she went over everything that would happen during the procedure. She made sure that I knew exactly what to expect and prepared me for what could have been a particularly nerve-wracking time. You, Courtney and Thor made it so that I can see clearly without glasses. I never thought in a million years I would ultimately concede to having Lasik or any other elective surgery performed on my eyes.  But I am very thankful to say, next month, March 2009, will be the one year anniversary of my completely bladeless Lasik surgery performed by Dr. Peter Arrowsmith and his team.  I can boldly say and without any hesitation, Lasik surgery has truly been one of the most precious blessings I have ever experienced... and I was the ultimate skeptic!

I never had much success wearing contact lenses.  I just could not see as clearly and crisp with contacts as I could with glasses... suppose the procedure improved my vision only to the degree I could see with contacts!?  I was not willing to risk that.  (Read more about Jane).
